AsianPLoP 2025 was successfully over!

Thanks to all chairs, shepherds, faculty members and student volunteers, community supporters, authors and attendees, we had a great AsianPLoP 2025: 11th Asian Conference on Pattern Languages of Programs, People & Practices at beautiful Tunghai University, Taichun! Great patterns, practices, people! See you all in Yokohama next year! Tunghai University Jwo, Mei, and all related members and students generously hosted the AsianPLoP 2025 at their beautiful campus, where old meets new. It is truly great to tighten connections and expand our community in Taiwan, Japan, and other areas in Asia and globally! Next year, the conference will be held in Yokohama, Japan, and will be chaired by the next leaders and early career professionals, Tomoki Ito and Kiyoka Hayashi.

From our lab, Takumi’s paper titled “Machine Learning Application Argument Patterns” was successfully workshoped. Furthermore, I co-authored another paper on data-driven process improvement patterns primarily authored by Dr. Komuro.

We were invited to the National Library of Public Information (NLPI), which leverages digital technology to innovate in the field of librarianship, including the LLM-based AI Librarian, which utilizes software engineering and design patterns! It was so great to see how patterns are active in the field.

We had a ceremony in memory of Prof. Eduardo Fernandez (Ed) for recognizing his tremendous achievements in patterns and contribution to the pattern community. He helped us form a community in Asia and other areas. We were honored to provide him with the AsianPLoP Luminary. RIP.
