Thank you to all the organizers and volunteers for making this fantastic event series. Congratulations to all quiz participants and winners!

 

Prof. Washizaki attended the IEEE Meeting Series in Chicago, and was honored to join a dinner for the keynote speaker, William (Bill) Phillips, Laureate of the Nobel Prize in Physics 1997.

Prof. Washizaki attended the IEEE Meeting Series in Chicago to represent IEEE Computer Society. Prof. Washizaki was honored to join a dinner for the keynote speaker, William (Bill) Phillips, Laureate of the Nobel Prize in Physics 1997, with IEEE Presidents and Board of Directors Kathleen Kramer Thomas Coughlin Ravinder S. Dahiya Chris Root Vincenzo Piuri. The meeting series was a great opportunity to share challenges and practices, expand our leadership and volunteer base, meet with old and new friends, and envision the future together.

Thanks to General Chair Prof. Hironori Kasahara-sensei and Program Chair Prof. Keiji Kimura-sensei as well as others, I had a chance to participate in ACM/IEEE ISCA 2025 Waseda University, Tokyo, which attracted 1200+ participants!

Prof. Jun Sun and I co-organized the 1st Workshop on AI Cluster Systems for LLMs. Thank you for coming and great talks and discussions at the workshop!

Thanks to Thai NB, sponsors, and other collaborative entities and WGs, as well as all members’ dedication and contributions, ISO/IEC/JTC1 SC7/WG20 (Convenor: Prof. Washizaki) had a successful Plenary meeting in Bangkok! This resulted in multiple work items, including the ISO adoption of the IEEE Computer Society’s SWEBOK Guide V4.
