Prof. Washizaki joined the IEEE Computer Society ExCom and Board of Goernors meetings (and RAS/Global Chapter Summits) as the CS President-Elect (and President 2025). Under the outstanding leadership of President Jyotika, it is our great honor to lead the society and work together to advance computing technology for the benefit of humanity.
The book titled “Generative AI for Effective Software Development” (Springer, 2024) edited by Anh, Pekka, and Foutse was just published! It covers foundamentals, patterns, tools, case studies, educational aspects, and future directions in GenAI4SE. Prof. Washizaki co-authored two chapters.
Prof. Washizaki joined 1st International Symposium on Future of Software Engineering (FUSE2024) in Okinawa, Japan. Thanks to GCs, organizers, and all participants, it was a great symposium with insights, ideas, networking, and fun. Prof. Washizaki introduced the SWEBOK Guide V4 with its potential usage in software engineering education, followed by great discussion.
Prof. Washizaki joined the ISO/IEC/JTC1 SC7 Plenary Meeting in Berlin and held the WG20 meeting to discuss and envision standards for certification schemes in software and systems engineering (and more). WG20 celebrated that the acomplishment of the ISO/IEC 24773 series.
Dr. Teeradaj Racharak from JAIST visited us with Haowei, May 2024. Discussed on possible collaboration in Trustworthy AI adoption in SE and more. Thank you for coming!

40周年の記念すべき日本科学技術連盟 ソフトウェア品質管理研究会（SQiP研究会、委員長: 鷲崎教授）第1回目、NTT 斎藤様から特別講義「持続可能なIT社会に向けたソフトウェア3Rの取り組み」をいただきました。サステナブルなソフトウェアエンジニアリング＆社会を広く展望され、そのうえでソフトウェア機能・フィーチャの見直しやユーザビリティ、さらにはセキュリティ他多岐にわたり、企業における実践的な様々な研究の取り組みを解説いただき、大変濃密なものでした。研究会において研究員の皆様が1年間取り組むうえで大いに示唆に富み、刺激的なものでした。ありがとうございました。また、演習コースIにてUXやデザイン思考、ペルソナ＆ペーパプロトタイピングの演習を実施しました。（写真: 演習コースI 猪塚主査ご提供）
