Thanks to IEEE Region 10 (Director Prof. Takako Hashimoto), lab students and Prof. Washizaki were honored to be invited to attend the IEEE Honors Ceremony Gala. With the presence of Her Royal Highness Takamadonomiya-sama, it was the greatest ceremony to celebrate all award winners (represented by IEEE Medal of Honor Laureate Henry Samueli and others), distinguished guests, and community leaders.

Lab students and I were invited to attend the IEEE VIC Summit to join the celebration of IEEE Medal of Honor laureate Henry Samueli and other award recipients, distinguished speakers and guests, and community leaders. I met old and new friends there. Stephen Wozniak provided a remarkable talk on his experience founding of Apple computer and more. Thanks to the IEEE Award committee and Region 10 (Director Prof. Hashimoto), IEEE Japan, and all organizers and sponsors for making this happen!

Prof. Paolo (Politecnico di Torino) and IEEE Director Nancy generously provided their talks on collaboration and IEEE Eta Kappa Nu (HKN). IEEE-HKN is receiving applications to Frank and Shelly Chang Outstanding Student Scholarship.

Prof. Washizaki joined the inauguration ceremony of the IEEE Computer Society Chapter Bhubaneswar Section. Congratulations on launching the chapter, and welcome to the world’s largest computing professional society!

IEEE Waseda University Student Branch (Chair: Yijun Lu) organized a very inspiring and engaging event with invited talks by IEEE Alex, Ewell and Aryan, sponsored by SoftUsing and Trip7 holdings.

Prof. Washizaki joined the IEEE R8 meeting in Budapest to introduce the IEEE-CS’s updates and strategies incl. new initiatives to the European, Middle Eastern and African community leaders.
