Prof. Hironori Washizaki participated in FM+SE Vision 2030 in Mexico City. Prof. Washizaki joined a panel on developers’ productivity in FM-empowered software engineering, and gave a lightining talk on SWEBOK evolution and FM/SE. It was a great event to meet experts over disciplines and discuss future visions in foundation models and software engineering.

Our paper titled “Enterprise Architecture-based Metamodel for a Holistic Business – IT Alignment View on Machine Learning Projects” received Best Paper Award at the IEEE International Conference on E-Business Engineering (ICEBE) 2023, 4 – 6 November 2023 UNSW Sydney, Australia.
Prof. Washizaki joined the Shonan meeting on DevOps & CPS in Nov 2023. Prof. Washizaki had a chance to discuss the SWEBOK Guide and MLOps with multi-view modeling and ML pipeline integration. Furthermore, there were great discussions on CPS quality attributes and Responsible CPS/DevOps, and networking.
We had a great Halloween casual gathering 2023 with Octopus dumplings (i.e., Takoyaki) and many interesting drinks at the lab.

Prof. Washizaki and M2 Takai participated in the 30th anniversary PLoP conference ( PLoP 2023: Pattern Languages of Programs conference) at the beautiful Allerton Mansion, IL. From our team, the Machine Learning engineering pattern and the AI Pair Programming pattern (by Yuma) have been workshopped. Thank you so much for your participation and great discussions!

We had a great (2nd) New Students Welcoming Meeting at Shinjuku, Tokyo. We enjoyed intensive research discussions, followed by BBQ and Flowing Somen Noodles (noodles dropped into running water, which is a Japanese summer tradition) with a variety of drinks and something to eat by *bring-your-own*! It is truly great to interact and have networking among students and members in this way.
