Prof. Washizaki as 1st Vice President joined the IEEE Computer Society Board of Governors in Washington DC
This month on Nov 1st and Nov 2nd, the IEEE Computer Society Board of Governors had a great meeting in Washington, DC, to reflect on what we have done and envision future directions. Surprisingly, thanks to Eric and other IEEE-CS directors and experts, we had a cake to celebrate the SWEBOK Guide V4! This year is particularly special since Prof. Washizaki has been delighted to work with distinguished volunteers, experts, and leaders in IEEE-CS as well as other societies and entities, including ISO/IEC and IPSJ, to make advancements in technical society organization, community building and engagement, and technology envisionment. And by having much encouragement and support, Prof. Washizaki had a chance to be elected IEEE-CS President-Elect and President in the years ahead. Thank you all, and looking forward to years ahead to collaborate and work together.

Prof. Hironori Washizaki participated in FM+SE Vision 2030 in Mexico City. Prof. Washizaki joined a panel on developers’ productivity in FM-empowered software engineering, and gave a lightining talk on SWEBOK evolution and FM/SE. It was a great event to meet experts over disciplines and discuss future visions in foundation models and software engineering.

Prof. Washizaki joined the Shonan meeting on DevOps & CPS in Nov 2023. Prof. Washizaki had a chance to discuss the SWEBOK Guide and MLOps with multi-view modeling and ML pipeline integration. Furthermore, there were great discussions on CPS quality attributes and Responsible CPS/DevOps, and networking.
